Our Aims:
Shanagolden Education Resource Centre Creche is committed to offering access to its facilities to all parents/guardians or interested parties and children, inclusive of special needs, cultural and religious background. We strive to provide a stimulating, creative, fun and safe environment that will meet all the developmental needs of your children.
We strive to be a 'home away from home' with a warm and welcoming atmosphere where we meet the needs of each individual child.
We will ensure a secure environment is provided for all our children. Staff is regularly updated on child protection procedures.
We aim to provide an environment in which children are encouraged to play and share new experiences together.
Our Service:
We cater for children aged between 3 months and 8 years.
Our Baby room caters for children aged 3months to 2 years
Our Sunshine Room caters for children aged 2 years to 3 years
Our Rainbow Room caters for children aged 3 years to 4 years
Our Pre-School Room caters for Children aged 4years and up
We also offer an after school service but have a limited number of spaces.
Here at Shanagolden Education Resource Centre Creche we comply with the Revised Pre School Regulations 2006, we also abide by the 1991 childcare act and the UN regulations on the rights of the child. We are inspected annually by the Health Board inspection Team.
Our Staff:
Here at Shanagolden Education Resource Centre Creche we are very aware of the importance of trained staff and of the relevance of ongoing training.
We currently have a 100% of our staff trained in childcare. Below you will see some of the qualifications held by our current staff members:

FETAC Level 5 (Previously Level 2)

FETAC Level 6

NNEB Level 3 Training

Diploma in Childcare

Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies
Staff is also qualified in First Aid, Fire Safety training, HACCP Training, Manual Handling and other training to update our Childcare Knowledge.
Opening Hours:
We are open each day from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Monday to Friday.
Full Day Care: 8:00am to 6:00pm
Half Day Care: 8:00am to 1:00pm/ 9:00am to 2:00pm/ 1:00pm to 6:00pm
Pre School Session: 9:30am to 1:00pm
The Centre will be closed on weekends, Bank Holidays, The first two weeks of August and a week of Christmas.
