Mission Statement
To develop services to assist adult education, e.g. childcare, student support, staff training.
To provide adults with a second chance of developing skills that enable people to cope with technological change.
To establish a Board of Management to represent key local interests and needs. To develop an inter-agency approach that will promote and enhance a coordinated strategy for the development of courses.
To promote and complement the existing services of Youthreach and VTOS.
Due to the changes that society is experiencing, demographics, technological, economical, there is greater emphasis on adults adopting a lifelong approach to learning. Shanagolden Education resource Centre responds to the needs and the aspirations of people in rural County Limerick
Centre Aims
The aim of Shanagolden Education Resource Centre is to provide adults with the opportunity to access continuous education programmes in the concept of an education multiplex.
Adult Education Programme:
Shanagolden Education Resource Centre provides fulltime educational opportunities through the Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme and the Youthreach Training Programme. (Available day, evening or weekend)
