HOW TO APPLY FOR THE STUDENT MAINTENANCE GRANT
NEW GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR 2012/13
A new ONLINE ONLY grant applications system is being introduced for 2012/13. All new applications will be made online to a single awarding authority, Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) through www.studentfinance.ie
The details of the 2012 Student Grant Scheme are due to be announced in May 2012 and the SUSI online application system will be available from that date. You can continue to check www.studentfinance.ie for information and updates in the meantime.
HOW DO I MAKE MY GRANT APPLICATION?
As soon as the online application system opens for the 2012/13 academic year, you will be able to register online with SUSI and then complete the online application form. The online application facility will be available through www.studentfinance.ie Remember, it will not be necessary to have received an offer of a college place or to be enrolled in college in order to apply online.
2011/12 GRANT APPLICATIONS
Co. Limerick VEC are still processing new applications received for the 2011/12 academic year and will continue to do so to completion.
CONTINUING/RENEWING STUDENTS IN 2012/13
If you held a student grant in 2011/12 from Co. Limerick VEC and are continuing your studies on the same course in the 2012/13 academic year, Co. Limerick VEC will continue to process your student grant until you complete your current course.
Review Forms will be issued to all students who are currently in receipt of a grant and are entering the next year of their course. These forms will be posted to students prior to Summer 2012. The review form should be completed and returned to Co. Limerick VEC at the address below, along with your examination results for 2011/12.
If you have completed a PLC Course in 2011/12 and you are continuing to study in an IT or University then you will need to apply online to the new centralised authority www.studentfinance.ie
